Local Expertise in Bloomingdale

This service is for people whose back or leg symptoms may relate to a herniated disc. The main decision is which treatments fit your symptoms, movement, health history, and recovery goals.

Our team uses a new patient intake, health history, and exam to guide that decision. X-rays may be considered when clinically indicated. We also support injury recovery after auto accidents, workplace injuries, and sports injuries.

A herniated disc plan has limits. Severe or changing weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or other serious warning signs need medical evaluation. We focus on care that fits the findings and explain when another type of care is needed.

  • Bring any medical records or imaging you already have.
  • Note where pain travels and whether numbness or tingling changes.
  • Tell us about work injuries, auto accidents, sports injuries, and current treatment.
  • Ask how each suggested treatment connects to your symptoms and goals.

Process

How We Plan Herniated Disc Care

1

Review symptoms and health history

We record your symptoms, injury history, health background, and recovery goals during the new patient intake.

2

Check movement and nerve symptoms

A health history and exam assess movement, posture, strength, sensation, and signs that may affect treatment choices.

3

Consider imaging when indicated

We consider diagnostic imaging or existing X-rays when the clinical findings support that need.

4

Explain the findings and options

We discuss the report of findings and connect possible treatments to your symptoms and daily activities.

5

Build and review the care plan

A personalized treatment plan may include spinal manipulation, decompression, exercises, massage therapy, or neuromuscular therapy.

When this service is the right fit

A person in Bloomingdale may seek care after pain begins in the lower back and travels into the leg. We check movement, sensation, strength, and health history before discussing spinal manipulation, decompression, or exercises. The person should bring available records and explain any recent accident or workplace injury.

What to Consider Before Choosing Herniated Disc Care

Match care to the symptoms

The right plan depends on where symptoms travel, how movement feels, and what the exam shows. We explain why a treatment fits before we use it.

Use active treatment when suitable

Therapeutic exercises and functional movement screening can add useful information beyond hands-on care. They help connect treatment with the movements you need each day.

Know when another evaluation matters

Chiropractic care is not the right first step for every spinal problem. Severe weakness, serious trauma, or signs of a medical emergency call for prompt medical evaluation.

How Herniated Disc Care Supports Daily Movement

Treatment may help reduce discomfort linked to spinal and nerve symptoms.

A focused exam helps connect symptoms with movement limits and daily tasks.

Therapeutic exercises give you active steps to support mobility between visits.

Spinal decompression or soft tissue therapy may fit certain findings and goals.

Care can support recovery after an auto accident, workplace injury, or sports injury.

From the moment I walked in, Dr. Harris and her staff have treated me with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Harris took the time to explain my injuries, my treatment plan, and what to expect throughout my recovery. She truly cares for her patients like family. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care I have received. Even after my case is over, I plan to continue coming back for my alignments and chiropractic care. Thank you, Dr. Harris and the entire team, for everything you have done for me.

Earlier this year I had a reoccurring injury. It usually flares up every few years, this year it happened twice . The first time ,I went to The Joint and another chiropractor for 2 and a half weeks. I missed almost 2 weeks of work, so in September, it hit again, so I was able to make a Friday appointment. I went in and got a substantial amount relief after one visit. I took 1 day off to get another treatment. I only missed 1 day of work, by my choice. In May with 2 other chiropractors I missed almost 2 weeks. Unless I move, I'M NOT GOING TO ANYONE ELSE!. Dr Harris and her staff was great. I've been to several chiropractors in Georgia and Florida. She is the best that I've had and she gave me countless tips to prevent more painful flare upset. Thank you Doc !

Questions About Herniated Disc Care

During the initial review, what symptoms can herniated disc treatment help relieve on a standard service call?

Back pain, leg pain, numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness may improve with suitable care. We begin with an exam and symptom review. Treatment options may include spinal decompression, therapeutic exercises, soft tissue therapy, or spinal manipulation. Results vary, and severe or changing weakness needs prompt medical evaluation.

Who provides herniated disc treatment for Bloomingdale patients?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor Garden City provides herniated disc treatment for Bloomingdale patients. Dr. NiAmber Harris leads the Garden City practice and focuses on personal injury care. We review your symptoms, health history, and recovery goals before discussing a personalized plan. Our team also helps with insurance documentation and personal injury claims when appropriate.

How is spinal decompression chosen for a herniated disc?

Spinal decompression is chosen when the exam and symptoms support its use. We review movement, nerve symptoms, health history, and treatment goals first. Decompression may be paired with exercises or soft tissue therapy. It isn't suitable for every condition, so we explain the reason for each recommendation.

What should I bring to my first visit after an accident?

Medical records, available imaging, accident details, and claim information can help us plan your first visit. Bring a list of current medicines if you have one. Tell us where symptoms travel and which movements feel limited. We can also help with personal injury documentation when appropriate.

Which symptoms need medical evaluation before chiropractic care?

Severe or changing weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or serious trauma needs prompt medical evaluation. These signs can point to a condition that needs urgent medical care. Tell our team about all symptoms during scheduling. We can discuss whether chiropractic treatment fits after the right evaluation.

What changes the cost of care for a herniated disc?

The assessment, treatment methods, visit needs, and injury documentation can change the cost. Our upfront pricing explains the expected charges before care begins. Spinal decompression, massage therapy, and therapeutic exercises may involve different care decisions. Ask our team for pricing details tied to your plan.

Can care include exercises as well as spinal adjustments?

Yes, care may include therapeutic exercises along with spinal manipulation when both fit the exam. Exercises address active movement and strength, while hands-on care addresses selected joint or soft tissue concerns. We choose the mix based on symptoms, function, and recovery goals. Individual response differs.
