Why does back pain from a herniated disc keep coming back?

Recurring back pain can relate to nerve irritation, limited spinal movement, weak support muscles, or repeated strain. An exam helps identify which factors affect your symptoms. Treatment may combine decompression therapy, spinal adjustments, stretching, core work, or soft tissue care. Seek urgent medical help for severe weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness in the saddle area.

How to Judge Whether This Disc Care Fits

Match the method to the finding

Your exam findings should guide the plan, not the label alone. We explain why a method fits before treatment begins.

Keep exercise in the plan

Stretching and core strengthening give you active steps between appointments. The exercises should match your current movement limits.

Know when another service is needed

Chiropractic care is the wrong first step for certain severe or worsening symptoms. We can recommend medical evaluation when your presentation needs a different level of care.

Coming into the office, the ladies at the reception desk were very professional and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about the services that are offer in the office and as well as provided valuable aftercare information. The doctors that offer treatment are very pleasant to speak with and handled each patient with care. As first time patient, the experience overall was very satisfying. I would highly recommend anyone needing care to give the office in Garden City a call or stop by, walk-ins are taken as well. Smile.

From the moment I walked in, Dr. Harris and her staff have treated me with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Harris took the time to explain my injuries, my treatment plan, and what to expect throughout my recovery. She truly cares for her patients like family. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care I have received. Even after my case is over, I plan to continue coming back for my alignments and chiropractic care. Thank you, Dr. Harris and the entire team, for everything you have done for me.

Earlier this year I had a reoccurring injury. It usually flares up every few years, this year it happened twice . The first time ,I went to The Joint and another chiropractor for 2 and a half weeks. I missed almost 2 weeks of work, so in September, it hit again, so I was able to make a Friday appointment. I went in and got a substantial amount relief after one visit. I took 1 day off to get another treatment. I only missed 1 day of work, by my choice. In May with 2 other chiropractors I missed almost 2 weeks. Unless I move, I'M NOT GOING TO ANYONE ELSE!. Dr Harris and her staff was great. I've been to several chiropractors in Georgia and Florida. She is the best that I've had and she gave me countless tips to prevent more painful flare upset. Thank you Doc !

Questions About Care for a Herniated Disc

When reviewing site readiness, what methods are used for herniated disc treatment before final scope approval?

Decompression therapy, spinal adjustments, stretching exercises, core strengthening, and soft tissue therapy are common methods we may consider. The assessment guides the choice. Some plans also include massage therapy, neuromuscular therapy, or therapeutic exercises. Imaging may be considered when clinical findings support it, and individual response differs.

How does the first visit help decide if treatment is suitable?

The first visit checks your health history, symptoms, movement, strength, and treatment goals. These findings help us decide whether chiropractic care fits your condition. Bring imaging reports or injury records if you have them. You don't need to wait for every document before requesting an assessment.

Which symptoms mean I should seek medical care first for Herniated Disc Treatment?

Severe weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or saddle-area numbness requires urgent medical assessment. These signs can point to a serious nerve problem. Tell us about all symptoms during the intake. We can help identify when your presentation needs medical care before chiropractic treatment.

Why might exercises be added to hands-on care for Herniated Disc Treatment?

Stretching and core exercises help you take an active role in movement support. Hands-on care alone may not address how daily tasks load your back. We choose exercises that match your current ability and explain how to perform them. Stop and report any exercise that sharply worsens symptoms.

What changes the cost of this disc care?

The assessment, selected methods, imaging needs, and care plan affect the cost. Upfront pricing helps you understand the charge before treatment proceeds. Insurance documentation and personal injury claim support may also be discussed when relevant. Ask for the cost details tied to your recommended plan.

Can care include massage and rehabilitation exercises for Herniated Disc Treatment?

Massage therapy and rehabilitation exercises may be included when they fit your findings and goals. Massage addresses related muscle tension, while exercises support movement and strength. Your plan may also include neuromuscular therapy or electrical muscle stimulation. We explain each recommended method before adding it.

How does the clinic support injury claims after an accident?

Our team can assist with insurance documentation and personal injury claims after an accident. Bring claim details and records if you have them. We may coordinate with personal injury attorneys when appropriate. The treatment plan still follows your symptoms, examination, and recovery goals.
